MONOLOGUE

Get a book of monologues (a script to memorize and perform) and have one prepared for an audition if it is required.

Several years ago, while in New York, I had a conversations  regarding monologues with Joan See, a respected and well-known casting director.  Joan provided me with a copy of "Cottage Cheese" which she felt was one of the best and most versatile monologues she has seen.

COTTAGE CHEESE
I really like cottage cheese.
I like to dress it up with a piece of fruit or a bit of lettuce.
But, mainly, I like cottage cheese.
So, when I saw Suddenly Salad from Betty Crocker
Five new seasoning mixes for cottage cheese
frankly, I was a little skeptical.
But then I tried them.
One added a taste like pineapple and real walnuts
another added a taste like crunchy bacon and real chives.
[And there are three more flavors!]
I love cottage cheese.
